We have been enduring record-breaking summer temperatures here in Australia, with many of us looking forward to the cooler autumn weather, though it is a few weeks away yet, and calendars don't dictate weather temperatures. :)
With Christmas well behind us, I have settled into my writing program for 2017.
My next project is to write a 5000--1000 words short story for an anthology. So many ideas...which one to choose. I have two new novels in the works which are demanding attention.
My husband and I are looking forward to cruising in the Pacific in a couple of weeks. A short cruise, though it will be wonderful to see the ocean and escape this dry inland heat.
Other travel plans: RWAustralia annual national conference in Brisbane in August, and an escape overseas late November, though no firm plans are in place yet.
'Bye for now...

Finally, spring has arrived, and we have had a taste of summer as well. I hear we can look forward to another long, hot and dry summer season.
Late August saw us flying to Copenhagen to sail the Baltic on Regal Princess. A beautiful ship. One of the highlights of the cruise was an evening performance of Swan Lake, in Catherine the Great's private theatre. A lovely cosy theatre which holds about 250 guests.
We spent a few days in Copenhagen, visiting Kronborg Castle at Helsingor, Frederiksborg Castle at Hillerod, and the Roskilde viking ship museum on the Fjiord. A beautiful spot. We also spent a day at the Tivoli Gardens in the city. Some amazing rides which were great to observe for the faint-hearted. It is said that Walt Disney visited the gardens and this is where he formed his idea for Disneyland.
We boarded the Norwegian Star, visiting Bergen, Aelsund, Lerwick on the Shetland Island and Thorshaven, Faroe Islands before sailing on to Reykjavik in Iceland, then back to Copenhagen via Glasgow and Dublin. That took care of the month of September. A very memorable holiday.
I would like to go back to Iceland to explore more of the country. Maybe one day.....
We were fortunate to catch an Andre Rieu concert in Sydney in October. A fabulous, entertaining evening, entertaining and fun.
